Batch HTML Report Extractor
Pull the tables out of saved HTML reports and combine them into one clean CSV. Load up to 50 files at once, pick the tables you need, handle merged cells and repeated headers, and keep a path back to every source row. Free, private and runs entirely in your browser.
How to use Batch HTML Report Extractor
- Select your saved HTML report files together (UTF-8 .html, .htm or .xhtml; unzip archives first).
- Find the tables you need by filename, table number, ID or caption, inspect them, and select only the ones that belong in the output.
- Choose how many header rows each table has and how to handle merged cells, whitespace and repeated header rows.
- Extract, review any schema mismatches and the row ranges each table contributed.
- Download the combined CSV and, if useful, a manifest that traces every output row to its source file and table. Save a recipe for reports you get regularly.
What people use it for
- Combining weekly or monthly inventory, sales or usage reports saved from a web portal into one spreadsheet
- Getting data out of report systems that only offer an HTML or "save page" export
- Flattening tables with merged cells (rowspan/colspan) and multi-row headers into a clean grid
- Removing header rows that repeat on every page of a long printed report
- Re-running the same extraction on next month's reports with a saved recipe
Frequently asked questions
Is the Batch HTML Report Extractor really free?
Yes. It's free to use here in your browser and free to download. There's no account, trial or watermark.
Are my reports uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool reads your files in your browser and the page blocks it from making any network connection. It never fetches images, frames or scripts referenced inside your reports, and it doesn't run scripts contained in them.
What files does it read?
Saved HTML reports in UTF-8 (.html, .htm or .xhtml) containing real table markup. It doesn't read PDF, Excel, ZIP or MHTML files, scrape live web pages, or capture tables that a page builds with JavaScript.
How many files can I process at once?
Up to 50 files per batch, 2 MiB per file and 20 MiB in total, with up to 500 tables and 50,000 table rows. It has been tested combining five reports into 25,000 output rows in Chrome on Windows.
How are merged cells handled?
Row and column spans are expanded into a rectangular grid. You choose whether data from a merged cell repeats into each covered cell. Multi-row headers are combined into single column names joined with " / ".
Can it remove header rows that repeat on every page?
Yes, as an explicit option. It only removes rows that exactly match the table's header, and lists every removed row in the manifest. Leave it off if a matching row might be real data.
What if my tables don't have the same columns?
Compatible tables combine in source order. Tables with different columns stay visible as mismatches instead of being merged silently. You can optionally allow the same columns in a different order.
Does it change my numbers or dates?
No. Every value stays as text, including leading zeros. Nothing is converted to numbers or dates. Trimming and collapsing whitespace are optional.
Can I use it offline?
Yes. Click Download to save the tool as a single HTML file, then open it in any current desktop browser, with or without an internet connection.
Private by design
This tool is a single HTML file that runs entirely in your browser. The page that hosts it blocks every outgoing network connection from the tool, so the files you open are processed on your device and are never sent to AppKatz or anyone else. Download it once and it keeps working offline.
