AppKatz E-Sign Privacy Policy

This policy covers AppKatz E-Sign at appkatz.com/esign, operated by LaunchWizard, LLC, doing business as AppKatz Software. Our general Privacy Policy covers the rest of appkatz.com. For a step-by-step description, see How your data is handled.

What we collect

• The PDF you upload and its file name.
• The sender's and signers' email addresses.
• For each party: when they accepted the terms, opened their link and signed; their IP address and browser user agent; their typed name; and their drawn signature, if they draw one.

Why

Only to run the signing process you requested, to produce the audit certificate inside the final PDF, and to prevent abuse.

How long we keep it

Until every party has been emailed the final PDF, until a signer declines, or 14 days after upload, whichever comes first. Then it is deleted. While a request is in progress, the data is encrypted with a key that exists only in the emailed links. We keep no copies, archives or backups of transactions, and our logs contain no personal data from them. Hashed rate-limit counters are kept in memory for up to 24 hours.

Who we share it with

• The other parties to your transaction. Each receives the final PDF, including the audit certificate with every party's email, IP address, browser and times.
• Service providers that process it on our behalf: Cloudflare (network delivery), our email provider (sending invitations and the final PDF), and a timestamp authority (which receives only a cryptographic hash).
• Authorities, if required by law. Because we delete transactions, we generally have nothing to disclose.

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. E-sign pages use no cookies, analytics or tracking. Sponsor messages are static and do not collect data.

Your choices and rights

You can decline to sign at any time before signing. Because we delete transaction data promptly and can't decrypt it without your link, we usually can't retrieve, correct or export it after the fact. Contact us with any request.
